David Haigh, Director of Financial Capability for the Money Advice Service comments in response to the Demos report – Banking for Allopens in new window
“Addressing low levels of financial capability is at the heart of the 10 year UK Financial Capability Strategy which brings together organisations from across the financial services sector, third sector and Government under the umbrella of the Financial Capability Board.
“By better aligning our collective efforts, developing our understanding of the most effective approaches to improving financial capability, and directing funding accordingly, we can start to address the stubbornly low levels of financial capability in the UK. This will be a key part of the discussion at this year’s Financial Capability Week from 14 – 20 November.
