Jackie Spencer, Pension and Retirement Expert at the Money Advice Service comments on Aviva’s findings: 30 million adults fear their money won’t last in retirement:
“These findings show that although people worry about how much money they’ll have in retirement, they are not taking steps to save now for their future. This is also reflected in our own findings which show that five in ten people tend to spend today rather than saving for tomorrow.
“It may seem a long way off, but planning ahead and saving for retirement is the best way to ensure money lasts. More information about how to start saving can be found on the Money Advice Service website.”
